How to… Foam Roll Your Calf Muscles
One of the areas of the body that I get asked about most as a running coach is the lower leg and in particular tightness or soreness in the calf muscle complex. This simple technique video can be used as a tutorial to help you start performing maintenance on your calf muscles using a piece of basic equipment that I believe everyone should have available to them – the foam roller! Foam rolling is a great way to warm up before a run, or to include in your post-run cool down stretching routine (you do have a cool down stretching routine, don’t you?).
